Terms and Conditions

The following "Terms and Conditions" is set to govern the use of and purchase of products and services from Cruise Halong Bay website - www.cruisehalongbay.com - (hereinafter referred to as Site, We, Us, Our). This is subject to change without notice to be suitable with local regulations and laws at the temporary time. Accordingly, we highly recommend you to check it to update our information regularly.

You agree to use the Site for lawful purposes. If you plan to or are committing any deeds that may hamper or affect the performance of the website, or transmit contents that are harmful, abusive, vulgar, discriminative, hateful, you must leave immediately.

1. The Contract:


A contract will be signed once you proceed successfully with our booking procedure including accepting our itinerary or proposal, and paying the deposit.

We reserve the right to terminate the contract in case:
- Customer's behavior, manner or action cause offences to our company, our site or other partners.
- Unpredicted conditions of weather, natural disasters and spreading diseases take place in the area that you plan to visit. In this case, we will contact you for further information.

2. Payment:


To ensure that both parties will fulfill their obligations, we propose some detailed conditions for payment as follows: a - Credit card fee:

All credit card payments are subject to a 3% processing fee. In an effort to keep the price down for clients, we offer fee waiver for your deposit payment. The remaining balance shall be settled when you arrive in Hanoi and if you decide to settle the balance by credit card, the 3% fee will be added to the balance with amount equal to or larger than $300.

If the balance payment is less than $300 we will waive this fee for you.

b- Deposit: Either full payment or a deposit of 30-50% of total cost will be required and decided on individual tour basis. This should be done via one of our payment methods available online. Customer will receive confirmation documents or vouchers within 24 hours from the time we receive the deposit. We do NOT charge processing fee for deposit payment.

c - Final Payment: Full payment should be made at least 2 days prior to your arrival in Vietnam. Payment on arrival is applied for special cases only and both parties have written agreement on this.

Payment by credit card may be subject to 3% processing fee.

d - Cancellation and refunds: 

Cancellation fees of booking are levied on all local suppliers as cruise carriers and other contractors apply their own cancellation policy. Cancellation and refund policies are detailed on each individual cruise, under the Rate & Availability tab.

Cancellation by the cruise for reasons related to a situation of force majeure, such as government restriction or regulation, health, natural disasters, acts of God, etc., customers will be refunded the amount depending to circumstances. If the tour has yet to take place, full refund will be made. If the tour is ongoing, partial refund will be made.

No refunds or exchanges can be made while the tour in ongoing and the customer decides to opt out. If you do not use any of the service, no compensation will be given for the unused portion of the tour.

3. Alternatives:


Whilst we manage to reserve all the proposed services for our clients, we reserves the right to make changes of equivelant services in case transportation/ accommodation is fully booked. In this case, we always try our best to inform you about the changes as soon as possible.   If we are unable to provide confirmed services, an alternative service or an alternative departure date will be offered subject to availability. If this alternative date or the alternative service is not acceptable to our clients will be refunded.

4. Shuttle bus service:


Unless otherwise stated, the pick up point is limitted to hotels in the Old Quarter only with few exceptions made by the cruise. If you are leaving from the airport or train station or staying in a hotel outside of Hanoi Old Quarter, you are responsible for arranging your own transfer to our office at 72 Hang Trong to be picked up by shuttle bus.

5. Visa approval letter service:


As a travel agent, we offer you complimentary visa approval letter service when you book our tour. Please note that you are responsible for paying stamping fee and preparing all necessary documents required for the entry procedure at Vietnam Airport. You are also responsible for providing us the required information at least 05 days prior to your arrival date in order for us to process the letter in a timely manner. We are not to be held responsible for any delay or entry denial which are solely at the discretion of Vietnam's Immigration Department.

6. Use of day boat for 3 day 2 night trip:


(a) Except for charter cruise or a limitted number of cruises such as Dragon Pearl, Dragon Legend, all other cruises use a day boat for activities on the second day of the trip. During this day you may not have any acess to the mother boat and your cabin until mid-afternoon. 

(b) Unless otherwise stated, all cruises listed on our website use the same vessel for both 2 day and 3 day guests as it is a common practice for cruises in Halong Bay.

We are not to be held responsible for this change of boat as mentioned in (a) or the use of boat (b) which are both organized by the cruise operator.

7. Arrangment of cabin:


All cabins arrangment are at complete disposal by cruise operator. We are not to be held responsible for any purposive arrangement of your cabin. If you have any special request (such as cabins on the same level, next to each other, non-smoking, etc) please email us at time of booking. 11. Disclaimers:
From time to time there may be information on our site that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies, or omissions about product descriptions, pricing, and availability. We reserve the right to correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice.
